Giving Tree
Community Service team will be collecting gift cards for our own Church families to help them with their Christmas holiday expenses. Please donate gift cards for Target, Walmart Aldi, or Cub in amounts of $25 or more. Please write the $$ amount on each gift card. There is a collection box in the front entryway through Sunday, December 11th.
If your family is in need of help with their Christmas expenses, please let Pastor Rob know.
A FINAL REPORT ON THE 10th ANNUAL SOUTH of the RIVER CROP WALK: The planning committee held its wrap-up meeting and received final numbers (more or less — there are always some funds trickling in until the end of the year). The Walk as a whole raised $18,791, with 95 walkers. Spirit of Life had 19 registered walkers and raised $4,116.97. Thank you to everyone who participated in any way with the Walk, and to all who supported the Walk by making donations of funds or food for the CAP Agency food shelfs. Our locally designated agency, Second Harvest Heartland, will receive at least $4,700 to support their efforts to end hunger right here at home. Your ongoing support of this effort is much appreciated!
The Christian Ed committee will be putting together Christmas treat bags for the children. If you would like to donate any pre-wrapped candy/treats or small favors for the bags, please bring them to church by December 11th. They may be placed in the basket below the table in the front hall. We will be giving them to the children on December 18th
Calling all those who enjoy decorating!! We are asking for people to help decorate the church for Advent. Join us after fellowship on Sunday, November 27. The more help we have, the less time it takes! Thank you, Becky
