Labyrinth — Hidden Treasure at Spirit of Life Church

Tucked behind Spirit of Life Presbyterian Church in an open yard surrounded by homes is a small wooden trellis. Take a closer look and that trellis is actually an entryway into something spiritual - a labyrinth. In 1999, Dr. Denise Lewis, a member of Spirit of Life, came up with the idea of a labyrinth. Initially, it was mowed into the grass and later, Jason Parker, also a church member, built the outlining brick for the labyrinth as an Eagle Scout project. Click here for more information on labyrinths.

The labyrinth is used most often in the summer by members of the congregation, but it is open to anyone wishing to make a spiritual walk.

The labyrinth at Spirit of Life Presbyterian Church is featured in the book, “Sacred Sites of Minnesota.” For more information about the labyrinth, contact the church office.
